Testimonials

We invite you to read what our happy parents have to say about their experience at Open Arms School:

"Open Arms is a great name for the school where we take our little Grace. Grace is welcomed with Open Arms by the staff each day as she runs to hug her teacher. When we started bringing Grace here, it was a time of transition and even though we were nervous about the change we quickly realized how wonderful the programs at Open Arms were. Our nerves eventually vanished as we became very comfortable with the staff and noticed how Grace was treated like 'family' at school.

From the moment we walk in each morning, Grace is welcomed by name. As she enters her classroom her teacher, Ms. Alicia, welcomes her with a big hug and plenty of positive feedback. She eats wonderful meals lovingly prepared by Ms. Joy. In the afternoon, Ms. Cindy continues the fun Grace has.

Not long after Grace started at Open Arms we noticed how she started dancing more, wanting us to sing 'Ring Around the Rosey', 'Row Row Row your boat', and 'The Itsy Bitsy Spider', with her. Before long she was using sign language to tell us she wanted 'more' and to say 'please' and 'thank you'. She brings home plenty of art projects and has plenty of new words to share with us each week.

We know she gets lots of positive reinforcement and a great mixture of play and learning time. Ms. Jewel and her staff keep us well informed of Grace's progress and the monthly newsletters keep us in touch with school activities.

All in all, we are extremely pleased to have Grace in such a caring and progressive environment. We can relax while we are away from her knowing she is in good hands and getting a great start on her education -- all while having a good time."

"I am a stay at home mom and knew my son needed some socialization and some schooling before kindergarten. I found Open Arms and so glad I did. I'm a nervous needy mom and trust none with my son. Ms. Alisha the pre-k teacher is a amazing. My son just loves her. I hope when he goes to Kindergarten this August his teacher is just as great because we've been so use to Ms. Alisha and her kind heart with all the children. Mrs. Jewel in the office is neat as well. All the teachers at the school are great. They all greet you with a small and a ‘hello'. They treat you and your child like family. I will actually miss seeing them all come August when my son goes to Kindergarten. Wonderful school! Wonderful people!"

"All three of our children have been enrolled at Open Arms over the past year from the baby room to the pre-school room and even the school-age room. They have all really enjoyed their time there. The entire staff is very warm and welcoming to both the kids and the parents. The kids have fun, enjoy time with their friends and love visiting the teachers and staff in the other areas. The older boys especially enjoy the summer program full of activities and field trips. With the latest addition of the internet viewing, it has made the transition of leaving our youngest baby there so much easier being able to check on him from time to time and watch him play. They truly treat the kids like family. And they even offer a Parent's Night Out from time to time. It's a great place."

"Our children have attended Open Arms for several years, and our family's experiences here have consistently been very good. The teachers and staff have always been friendly, helpful and professional, and willing to work with us to ensure that our children's needs are met. We have also greatly appreciated the flexibility of the school in arranging our children's schedules as our work schedules have changed, as well as the ability to view our children's classroom via the internet. We are very satisfied at Open Arms and highly recommend it!

When we first decided to place our oldest child in care part-time, we visited several schools. We were surprised to find such a wide range of environments from corporate providers to schools that offered individual care and a purposeful curriculum. Open Arms certainly belongs to the latter care giving, and our son has no problem adjusting to kindergarten."
